Healing Comes By Reason Of Use…
We all come to Christ as a newborn babe, not yet knowing how to walk uprightly as we ought. But the longer we remain in Christ, there is an expectation from our Heavenly Father to see growth in our spiritual state. We should not be the same individual that we were when we first came to Christ up to now. There should be indications of spiritual growth which manifests in our conduct. If our conduct is unbecoming in the eyes of the Father, being that we are conducting ourselves carnally, displaying fruit of the flesh, rather than Christlike, displaying fruit of the Spirit, then we are not spiritually growing.
In order to grow up spiritually, and mature beyond milk, we must exercise our spiritual muscles by reason of use. It will not happen automatically. So if you have been weak in the area of patience, you will only strengthen that area by reason of use with waiting. Overtime you will begin to notice that it is not as difficult as before, because you have been exercised by it. Father is looking for skillfil labourers to work in His vineyard, but will He find you undeveloped, and still a babe, though it be the time when you ought to be a teacher? Ask yourself, what area of conduct in your life is not measuring up to the standard of Christ? How long have you been in this state? Could it be you are not growing in conduct due to not applying it in your life? The situations that God is bringing in your life is to develop you in that area. If you want to heal and be made whole, you must discern what area you are need of developing, and then you must apply yourself in that area, by reason of use.
Hebrews 12:11 “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.“
Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Galatians 5:22-25 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
1 Peter 2:1-3 “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”
Hebrews 5:12-14 “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
1 Corinthians 3:1-2 “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.”
1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.“
