You Fell, But It’s Still Possible For You To Finish
Whatever caused you to fall, does not have to be the end of it all. Just because you fell does not mean that you cannot finish your race. And just because you fell does not mean that God had chosen someone to take your place. Who said that God is done with you? Your defeated mindset told you lies that were not true. Though you may be in a deep despair, know that you are not broken beyond repair. You are not a failure because you fell, you are only a failure if you never finish. So choose to keep the faith and allow those thoughts of defeat to diminish.
Let’s not make light of the fact that you fell. It is important to embrace the truth that whatever caused you to fall in your faith is idolatry for you. Because falling down is a manifestation of worship. Therefore, it is important for you to recognize this and repent for ultimately choosing this over your obedience to God. But just because you fell, does not mean that you are forsaken by God. God expects you to continue having faith and finish your course. However, you cannot finish if you stay in a fallen state. You need faith to overcome your defeated mind. Here’s how, by remembering the promise that says without faith it is impossible to please God. So then, though you feel like you let God down because you fell, and that He is no longer pleased with you, know that staying in a defeated mindset is no better. That is because a defeated mindset quits and gives up, which all in all just equates to having loss all faith. So, trust and believe that even though you fell, you CAN still finish, as long as you keep the faith! And in the end the Father will be pleased with you because you chose to not give up, but rather finish the works that He gavest thou to do.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge , shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.“
Proverbs 24:16 “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
