Stop Yearning For Yesterday
Too many of God’s people is stuck living in the past by continuing to meditate on the days of yesterday. But those days have expired. It’s Time to stop Yearning for Yesterday, or else you will become like Lot’s wife, who became a pillar of salt. Our ability to manifest our potential is not locked away in experiences of the past but rather in new possibilities that are present with each tomorrow. Instead of looking for those golden moments of yesterday to return, we should be looking for Christ’s return. That is what we should be yearning for. That is a hope that has not passed away, but is ever before us. The better days are not yesterday, but are awaiting us at the return of Christ, when the former things would have passed away and the behold all things become new.
We must ask ourselves what is truly that I am looking for? What is it truly that I am yearning after? Because it is the truth that will set us free. We should not have our heart bound in desires of things that Father has allowed to depart out of our lives. It is time to set our affections on things above and not things on Earth. May we not fall away from the faith by yearning for yesterday. But rather, may we forget those things which are behind and press forward, for the day of Christ return draweth nigh.
Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
