Affirm Don’t Appease
You must affirm your position in order to be delivered from appeasing others. Doing things to appease others will cause you to fall away from your conviction of your faith and cause you to lose who you are in the process. There will always be pressure from the crowd to conform to their habits, their customs and their culture, but your conviction must be stronger than the pressure to conform. You must be willing to affirm your position, rather than appease the people just for the sake of pleasing them.
Once you stand your ground, you lay the basis of your faith to be established on a firm foundation. And everyone will know where you stand based upon you showing them what you will and will not do, and not being willing to compromise for anything. So be delivered from the spirit of people pleasing by no longer doing things solely for the sake of appeasing others. Instead be bold and confident in affirming your position by pushing through the unpleasant pressure to conform. Remember, you cannot be all things to all people. You will lose yourself trying to please everyone. Aim to please only your Heavenly Father above, and you will be able to stand against all odds. You were not put here to please others, You were put here to prepare the way for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done. Therefore, affirm and don’t appease, and you will be set free! AMEN!
