Monday, September 9, 2024 – Faith For Believing What God Said

Monday “Moving Mountains” Report

It Takes Faith to Have Faith

The faith that is required of believers is one that is completely free from doubt.

Ever wondered, “Am I hearing from God?” Well you are not alone. Because we do not hear God’s voice audibly, how can we determine whether or not we truly are hearing from God? In other words, it takes faith to actually believe that you are hearing from God, and it requires more faith to then follow through on what you heard. But Satan is always seeking who he may devour by causing doubt. Doubt comes in the disguise of a question, “Did God really say.” However, God warns us that if we doubt we are likened to a double minded man who is unstable in all his ways.

So then, how can we have faith that we are truly having faith and not feigning things out of our own heart, for the heart is deceitful. By growing in the knowledge of God’s will. The more we understand the nature of God, including what God hates and what God loves, then we will be able to denote what God’s will is. King David did not check to see whether or not he was hearing from God to slay Goliath. No one gave him the order, “God said for you to slay Goliath.” But rather, David simply was aware of the attributes of God and thereby he could reason within himself that God’s will was for the giant Goliath to be killed. David also had a relationship with God, where he saw the behavior of God displayed in his own life personally. Therefore, David was able to recount the works of the Lord which allowed him to take full confidence, having no doubt because he had experienced what God could do.

This can be true for you. You can live a life where you experience the handiwork of God. You can become so aware of the nature of God that it will become more easily able to discern God’s will. If you are truly hearing from God, it will come to pass as you have said. If you are feigning it out of your own heart, it will come to nought. But remember, not to doubt. For if you doubt, God says you are not to expect to receive anything from Him.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Nehemiah 6:8 “Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own hearts.”

James 4:8Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
