Consider Thy Latter End…
Our Heavenly Father warns us to consider the outcome of our decisions to determine the consequences. This in turn makes us wise because we will then hearken to His voice of instruction rather than rebel against His will. Father wishes that we were wise enough to understand this principle of considering our latter end. The problem is most people base their decisions on how they feel in the present moment.
However, Father warns us that if we consider our latter end, then we would do well because we would be conscious of the consequences of the decisions that we are facing. When we forget to consider the latter end, then we forget God’s judgments declared, which ultimately results in us not having a fear of God.
Deuteronomy 32:29 “O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end.”
Proverbs 19:20 “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.“
2 Peter 2:20 “For if after they have escaped the pollution’s of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
